The Student Union

The Student Union building is near completion and will soon be serving the entire Mount Soma community,  hopefully just in time for the Deep Dive Course.

With the expanded interest in Mount Soma, the Student Union will be a much-awaited addition, providing a place for course participants to stay, as well as many other benefits.

We have made some wonderful enhancements to the original design. The kitchen has doubled in size, creating more space for those cooking, prepping veggies, washing dishes, and cleaning pots. A large porch roof has been added to create a nice outdoor area for people to gather. Just imagine sitting out on the north deck enjoying the beautiful view during a rainstorm! We also added a suspended ceiling that will improve the beauty and energy efficiency. Instead of looking up and seeing insulation, duct tape, and steel beams, we will have an attractive vaulted ceiling.
